As you can see we are in the process of redeveloping the New Church and Congregational website.  The site is not complete but we decided to open it up.  It is our goal to provide resources, information and to have a catalytic effect in terms of partnering with local churches and districts to aggressively and deliberately move forward with the task of planting new churches.

NCCD has always worked through churches and districts when possible, but in the days ahead we see and fully embrace a new role.

"The District Superintendent is the key leader in new church and congregational development (a priority of the United Methodist Church and the KAC)."

NCCD still partners with District and local churches, we will still pursue church planting opportunities, but the primary responsibility for initiating and assisting new churches falls on the District Superintendent.

We believe this model will be highly effective and look forward to working closely with all of the districts in our conference.

That is the purpose of a new site.  To better resource the Conference and to better communicate what God  is doing.

The old site,  in need of some TLC, will still be available for groups to have a work space.  It will be reconnected soon.  Be patient we will be running at full steam soon.
